　　Today is the second day of my return home. My hometown is haiyang district, yantai city, shandong province. They can set off firecrackers and free beach games. I'll show you there.

　　Start with my family! My grandmother, uncle, aunt, and cousin all lived in a villa, and the uncle and aunt lived in the villa next to grandma's house. I went home with my dad and mom and stayed in a hotel. The hometown to that name shenglong jianguo hotel is 30 kilometers away! My hometown has firecrackers to sell one street, and very cheap, so uncle once will buy one or two cases of firecrackers, a put is a string of firecrackers, long, two have a strange name firecrackers: "flash thunder". It lights up and flies 500 meters away from the ground and explodes and gives off beautiful fireworks.

　　The hotel where we live is the site of the ashar meeting, where the beaches are free to us. It also provides a lot of playing tools for children to play with. There is also a colorful sand sculpture museum on the beach that gives people free viewing.

　　My hometown is such a busy place, I will go back in the summer vacation.

　　On New Year's eve, our family sat in front of the TV set to make dumplings and watched the Spring Festival gala. It's hilarious!

　　Father and mother make dumplings. My dad rolled out his dough and it was thin in the middle, so he could catch up with the machine operator. Mom's hands were quick and clever, and she soon packed many kinds of dumplings. What attracted me most was little fish dumplings. I asked my mother, "what does this mean?" The mother said: "this represents more than every year, happy and auspicious." I can't wait to try my father's and mother's work. 　　During the Spring Festival gala, I saw the magic master liu qian performing a wonderful program for millions of people, and many of the little things I saw with great interest. I was unaware that the clock of the New Year was ringing. My father and I went downstairs to set off firecrackers to welcome the first day of the New Year.

This is why, according to the solar calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year.

　　New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honor of Heaven and Earth（萬物）, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.?

　　The sacrifice to the ancestors, the most vital of all the rituals（儀式）, united the living members with those who had passed away. Departed relatives are remembered with great respect because they were responsible for laying the foundations for the fortune and glory of the family.?

　　The presence of the ancestors is acknowledged on New Year’s Eve with a dinner arranged for them at the family banquet table. The spirits of the ancestors, together with the living, celebrate the onset of the New Year as one great community. The communal feast called "surrounding the stove" or Weilu. It symbolizes family unity and honors the past and present generations.
